Beim Austausch oder ersten Einsetzen eines Filters sollten folgende Punkte beachtet werden, um eine optimale Wirkungsweise zu erzielen:

  • Verteilen Sie das Aktivkohle-Granulat vor dem Einsetzen des Filters durch Schütteln gleichmäßig.
  • Achten Sie darauf, dass das Filterelement dich anliegt. Ansonsten würde die vorbeiziehende Luft ungefiltert in den Raum zurückgeleitet.
  • Die Aktivkohlefilter sind laut Herstellerangaben ohne Vorbereitung direkt nach dem Auspacken einsatzbereit.
  • Nach Beendigung des Kochvorgangs sollte der Filter durch etwa 10-20 Minuten Nachlauf der Abzugshaube die Möglichkeit zum Nachtrocknen bzw. Ausdünsten bekommen.

Um stets einen ordnungsgemäßen Lüfterbetrieb zu erreichen, sollte der Aktivfilter regelmäßig gewechselt werde. 
Ein Aktivkohle-Filterwechsel ist - abhängig von Ihren Kochgewohnheiten - ca. alle 6 Monate nötig.
